details on how VMware ESX deals with server memory
I got an Email the other day, reminding me about this brilliant white-paper.
It is from Dec 2002 by Carl A. Waldspurger (VMware) (http://waldspurger.org/carl/) and it is still very actual! (except it does not cover memory compression which is now available in VMware vSphere 4.1)
It is a absolute must read if you want to understand more about VMware ESX is handling server memory.
